    Palate Profile

    Goulée by Cos d’Estournel brings to mind a light sea breeze, refreshing eucalyptus and the tantalizing scents of juicy, ripe berries and rich cacao beans… Evoking an invigorating afternoon spent on the water with friends or a delicious meal in an oceanfront bistro softly lit by the glowing rays of the sun, Goulée by Cos d’Estournel is decidedly untamed, a bold and expressive wine.

    Critic Awards

    On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy/juicy griotte cherry and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with touches of cornflower, juicy blueberry as well as hints of tonka bean, a subtle hint of liquorice stick and discreet hints of caramelization (in the background). Good length.

    This Médoc estate has the same winemaking team as Château Cos d'Estournel in Saint-Estèphe. This wine is sumptuously rich, with cushioned tannins and layers of black fruits.

    Medium garnet-purple colored, the wine rolls effortlessly out of the glass with cheery, open-knit scents of plum preserves, boysenberries and Black Forest cake plus wafts of woodsmoke and pencil lead. The soft-textured, medium-bodied palate is bursting with juicy black fruits, lifted by a lively backbone and finishing with lovely purity.
