    Palate Profile

    Created in 1930, Mouton Cadet is the result of a history between Bordeaux wines and Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The youngest of the family and the owner of Chateau Mouton Rothschild, he was keen to bring the richness of the prestigious Bordeaux region to a wider audience.

    The nose opens on aromas of ripe fruit such as Burlat cherry. Airing brings black fruit notes to the fore, especially blackberry, Burlat cherry and bilberry, along with a touch of mild spice. A rich and smooth taste which expresses all the fruit on the nose leads into a full mid-palate with hints of cinnamon and a round, powerful finish on substantial and very well-rounded tannins.
