Palate Profile

Critic Awards

Blackberry, cherry, herb and chocolate aromas and flavors. Full-bodied with medium, round tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

The cassis fruit has a concentrated Ribena sweetness to it, the oak not as impactful as the numbers would suggest. The wine is frontal and appears in a starburst of flavour and intensity. The trail is the quibble, it being not as long as the initial burst implied it might be.
